I have wanted long hair FOREVER! If you’ve read last weeks post about my color treated hair routine, then you’ll have seen the picture I linked showing how short and bleached my hair used to be for years. I was always torn between having highlighted hair and long brown locks (I’m a natural brunette). After letting my roots grow for a few months, my hair got a lot longer, but the thickness still wasn’t what I wanted. So since I just got engaged and knew there were going to be a lot of photo ops and events to attend, I thought I would invest in some higher end extensions and boy am I not disappointed! After researching and reading countless reviews, I knew that Bellami extensions were going to be perfect for what I wanted. Although my hair color doesn’t match 100% to my extensions, after one more trip to the salon I know it will blend perfectly! I can’t say enough good things about these extensions, so I decided to dedicate a blog post after I’ve reviewed them in a few weeks. There are some girls who try and hide the fact that they wear extensions and there are others that want to tell every girl in her circle her secret and I’m definitely the latter! Girls, if you are looking for thicker, silky hair that will allow you to achieve the length you’ve always wanted, you have to check these out! The great thing about this brand is that they send you a tester (free of charge) to make sure that the color is a perfect match to your hair. Okay, enough about the extensions since I’m going to write up a detailed review in another post (I’m just so excited!!).
I rarely ever never wear shorts. In my opinion, my body just wasn’t created to look good in the shorts that are popular at the moment (aka: bootie shorts). Although I’ve received several pairs to review on my site, I’ve probably only featured one or so. That was until I tried on these shorts from Loft last month and fell in love! First off, I’m a sucker for scalloped edging and the color white on clothing for spring. So when I saw these, I thought I’d give in and try them on. I know I’ve mentioned Loft like a million times on my blog and probably need to rave about another brand, but the classier staple pieces in my wardrobe always come from them. They make a lot of different types of shorts and while I consider some to be a little bit too “mommy-ish” for my taste, the Riviera’s are the perfect length and fit. They remind me of the JCrew ‘chino’ shorts. I also wanted to mention the bangles I’m wearing in this post because they are to die for! I want them in every color. The two pink ones are from an online shop called H.M. Willow that combines classic elements with natural gemstones into all types of wearable jewelry. They are also super affordable too! I paired this neutral look with the Oceana watercolor scarf I received from Miranda Bennett to tie everything together. I hope you all are having a fantastic week and thank you for reading!
Oceania Scarf c/o Miranda Bennett | LOFT Scallop Riviera Shorts | Engraved Gold Bar Necklace c/o Be Monogrammed (10% off with code:GRAD10) | 14th & Union Bar Stud Earrings | Francesca’s Collection Turquoise Necklace | Sofft Loafers (Similar) | Floreat by Anthropologie Top (Loving this & this one from that collection!) | Modcloth Bag (Similar)
I love this look on you! I just read actually some people have a genetic maximum that their hair will grow to. Mine grows to about the middle of my chest before shedding itself and then leaving me with collarbone length hair! This happens ever 3-4 years so since this was lucky “shedding” year for me I bought some clip in extensions also! I love them! Since I can’t grow my hair that long or that thick, it’s nice to have some extra UMPH and especially for my wedding in October! I need that extra hair. PS you look totally adorable in shorts! I think you pull them off very well!

Using hair extensions is the best and probably the easiest way to add length and volume to your hair. I’ve never tried Bellami. I prefer Zala clip-ins (https://www.zalahair.com/) and have been using them for a long time now! The images on this post are not working or broken, please fix them. I would love to see them.
Loved the blog and the the new hair water color. Loking forward to read the new blogs.
Thanks for sharing great information!!
If you are looking for something to temporarily lengthen your hair or add in some faux highlights, tape in hair extensions can be the best option as they are not permanent and are relatively simple to put in. Tape-in hair extensions are a quick and easy method that results in a very natural look. No one can imagine that you are wearing any extensions.
