The makings of my new and improved office nook!
Fresh flowers in our bright kitchen.
Ocean views on a clear day.
My growing obsession with Ralph Lauren mugs.
The helpful abundance of closet space throughout the apartment complimented with my new garment rack, which is surprisingly very sturdy.
We’ve finally moved to Los Angeles! After heavily debating on which part of the city to live in over the past month in this post, we’ve finally settled on the Western part of LA near Manhattan and Redondo Beach. The coastal areas definitely suit our personalities much more because although we love the hustle and bustle of city life, we really are more reserved people that enjoy the quiet beach scene. We’ve chosen a two bed, two bath apartment just minutes from the sand and it’s everything we could have wanted in our first home together. I can already say that just this week of living together has been an adjustment. You hear such differing opinions about living with your other half, but from focusing on the opinions of those closest to me, I know that for Doug and I, it will only come natural to us. Its funny how living with someone can bring you so much closer to them. You stop wondering when you’ll see them next and start focusing on your goals as a couple in general. Things become much more united in a way that binds each other in the present. It’s a nice, contented feeling. I’m truly happy in our new little place and the area is just gorgeous. I think surrounding yourself with so many opportunities for happiness is just the beginning of a more fulfilling lifestyle and that’s what our town is for us. I’ve already been searching for furniture because we basically came with just a bed! Since the apartment is filled with lots of light, we want to keep things neutral and simple with pops of color and lots of artsy prints that match our taste and add personality to every corner. Thankfully, there’s enough closet space to fit both of our wardrobes(for now), so it’s just a matter of organizing our things in a way that’s easy to maneuver. I’m so excited to share with you our home decor journey along the way and if you have an recommendations of things to do/see/try within the Los Angeles area, PLEASE fill me in! xx
Cute pics! How exciting moving into a new place! It’s nice starting with a blank slate. I’m sure you will have so much fun decorating your new place together! Enjoy 🙂
