I can’t contain my excitement as I’m typing this post because we’re having a little girl! When we first found out the gender, I was floored because the entire time I was certain it was a boy. I had tons of dreams in my first trimester all involving having a boy and when we went in for our first ultrasound the technician told us it might be a boy, but she wasn’t sure (so annoying!). So when they told us our baby was a girl, I was in awe. I even started a secret Pinterest board for a little boy’s nursery months ago! Well needless to say I couldn’t be happier and what puts me even more in bliss is the fact that so far our baby is healthy and everything is normal. That was a big load off my chest with our second trimester anatomy scan. I know I shouldn’t be worried about these things, but being a first time Mom I’m more anxious than ever! Having a girl has always been a dream of mine and I can’t wait to introduce her to all the things in life I love. We’re going to be the best of friends and I’m so elated that Doug will have a little girl to take care of coming from a family of all boys. He won’t know how to handle us!:P This weekend we’re already rearranging the spare room and preparing it for a nursery (nesting much?) because I can’t keep my ideas just on my Pinterest board. I need to put them in action! I’ve already picked out a few things and the theme of the room! Only four and a half months left until our little princess arrives!
