Warm days and warmer night, it must be July! If there’s one thing I love about the months approaching Summer, it is that I can savor this perfect weather until it becomes unbearably hot in our non-air conditioned apartment by the beach. We are in desperate need of buying a new fan, but decided to hold off because we are planning on getting a new place in the near future. When I first moved to the South Bay of Los Angeles over a year ago, I dreaded it. Well, we both did. First off, those that are from Orange County generally stay in Orange County and LA-er’s rarely want to leave. There are so many misconceptions about Los Angeles that took over my mind when we heard the news we were moving that are so untrue to how we feel now.
This little area of the coast has really become home to us and although I do miss the suburban feeling that Orange County offers, there are so many experiences that have opened our eyes to a completely different culture living and working over an hour away. It’s crazy how a different atmosphere and kind of people can change from city to city in Southern California. July is the start to a new season and the start to so many other firsts in our lives. There’s only a few weeks left until we are married, a few months of us living in this apartment, and many more beach trips, weekend getaways, and warm nights spent with family and friends. I’ve never been happier than where we are in our lives now and the change in season makes it that much more special!
