We’ve finally managed to settle into our new place and I couldn’t be happier. Interior decorating is one of my favorite things to do and I knew this would be the highlight to combining our lives and all the things we love into a shared space. When we first moved in, we had the goal in mind to start slow and not rush into any purchases. We also wanted to start by decorating one room each month so as not to overwhelm our lives with home decor. Well, things definitely didn’t turn out as planned because as we would be shopping for one specific piece for the living room, we would spot the perfect throw pillows for the bedroom along the way. So right now we have a mishmash of different spots in our home completed while others remain bare (i.e. The office having a daybed but no blankets or pillows on it). I guess that’s the fun part of decorating because it’s a process and if every element of your home came easy then there would be no real challenge 🙂
I’m most excited about our bedroom because we just got our new headboard in the mail from Joss & Main, which is currently on sale if you’re interested (they also have different colors)! I’m also obsessed with the new ghost chair I put in our living room because since we don’t have a lot of space in our apartment, the look of acrylic furniture really adds a light and airy feel to each room without adding too much clutter. Our next big purchase will probably be new office chairs because I’m currently sitting on a chair that’s not comfortable at all and since I work from home I really want to transform my office space to be as workable and glam as possible. I added an inspiration board from Home Goods just above my desk to fill out the space and I want to add in some shelves to put all my picture frames and accessories on. So far we’re just looking at new rugs to add extra color and after that our apartment will be pretty much complete!
