Ahh isn’t it nice to dress up with your “mini me”? I say “mini me” because we all know Annabelle is Doug’s twin! I’m sure this next baby will be too as his genes seem to be strong! It’s seriously a rare occasion that we aren’t wearing lounge clothes because at 33 weeks pregnant I barely have any energy to get ready in the mornings. I’m still trying to make it a habit of waking up 30 minutes before everyone else and getting fully ready for the day.

It seems odd for me to wake up at 6 am just to put on hair and makeup since I know I’ll only be seeing Annabelle and Doug the entire day (and maybe strangers at Target;), but then I remind myself that I’m filming for thousands of people so I should probably take that into consideration before looking like a bum:D I laid there at 6 am this morning debating on whether or not I should keep scrolling on my phone or GET UP AND BE PRODUCTIVE! Productivity won today, but it’s not always that way as much as social media lets on:)
Like most pregnant women in their third trimester, I’m so excited there’s only 7 weeks left. It truly feels like I’ve been pregnant for years! I was trying to explain postpartum life to my friend in Ohio who hasn’t had children yet and I told her after you have the baby it feels weird not to have something kicking inside of you because after a while you get used to it. She said that freaked her out haha
Being pregnant with a toddler really is a whole new level of cray. Annabelle is always trying to “feed” her sister food aka…she shoves mac n’ cheese on my belly and goes “nom nom” or she will blow into my stomach trying to talk to the baby. It’s so funny! I’m beyond thrilled for her to experience life with a sibling because I know how rewarding it was for me to have a sister growing up.
In today’s video, I shared a bit more about breastfeeding and co-sleeping unsure of what we’re going to do, but tonight we had a BREAKTHROUGH!! Instead of the usual nursing to sleep/Doug rocking her/her flailing her limbs because I’m tired of night nursing, I calmly told her “No milk tonight, but you can have some in the morning” and she held my hand as she drifted off to sleep. Why didn’t I think of reasoning with my child up until now!? Probably because every night it seemed like a lost cause, but I gave it one attempt and it worked. AH I hope it’s not a weird fluke but I will keep you guys updated. I really don’t want to transition her to her own room as I feel she’s too small/young so hopefully night weaning will save our sanity.
Anyways, that’s it for today’s post! Thank you all for following along and I can’t wait to take you on our new journey with two under two (yikes!) 🙂
I weaned my son when I was 18months pregnant. He was 26months at that point and only nursed 3 times a day first thing in the morning, before nap, and before bed. I weaned because I knew tandem feeding was not for me. I think you know what you can handle and tandem feeding might work great for you. Maybe attending a la Leche league meeting would offer some good resources for you.
I coslept with my son until the day I gave birth. My sister slept with him while I was in the hospital and then when we can home my husband slept with my son while I slept with the baby. My baby is 7 months and my husband now sleeps on a mattress on the floor in my sons room. 90% of the time he stays in his bed all night so soon my husband will join me in bed again. When my baby is around 18months we are going to try a sibling bed with our boys.
Good luck. You’ll figure out what’s right for you.
These photos are the sweetest! I wish they made Annabelles dress in my size, lol!
