Anyone who’s reading this living LA is probably baffled at how I could wear such a winter appropriate outfit when it was 90 degrees this past weekend. Thankfully I wasn’t burning myself up for the sake of a blog post and these photos were shot a couple weeks ago. Seeing that the name of my blog includes the word “darling” in it implies that I have a feminine perspective on style and beauty, which is completely true. That’s why in the winter, I refuse to wear bulky coats and pants because I haven’t found a way to make cold weather appropriate outfits suited to my tastes (maybe I can get away with that since I live in LA ;). Whenever it begins to get cold, I love to transition my flirty, “darling” style by throwing on my favorite DKNY skater skirt and a pair of thick tights. This way I can still feel myself(since I rarely wear pants/shorts) and stay warm at the same time. The fuzzy blue sweater broke up this all black outfit perfectly because it provided a much needed pop of color. I’m loving playing around with different textures and prints and am excited to try out more spring trends in the upcoming season!
